Back in 2018, my mother and I decided to open the kind of rock shop we always wanted to go to ourselves. The store sold rocks, crystals, incense, local jewelry, and handmade art by my mother in her distinctive style.
That style was key to the development of the Sunrise branding identity. Natural elements, sunrise beams, celestial motifs were all common in her work. Sunrise Rock Shop's main logo was directly inspired by her work, with the goal of creating an instantly recognizable image that was as beautiful as a piece of my mom's art.
This starting place allowed us to experiment creatively with the use of the logo, making custom versions for different events, tangible items, and special events. Combined with a robust collection of supporting elements like background designs and custom cut-out stone images, Sunrise Rock Shop was able to present a consistent, memorable, and customizable branding face that was a great contribution to its success.
